Social Sciences

At Centreville School children are encouraged to learn about the world by interacting with it. Our social sciences program balances textbook study with exciting, hands-on learning opportunities. Field trips, guest speakers, pen pals, and visual media all expose students to a diverse range of people, time periods, and cultures. Students also use social sciences classes to learn and practice the study skills they will need to be successful in their future educational experiences. Students leave Centreville with a broader view of the world and an understanding of how to use appropriate tools to learn more about it.
