The Arts

Students attending Centreville School all benefit from a broad exposure to the visual, literary and performing arts, including music and drama. Every student is given opportunities to draw on their own experiences and discover their inner artist, musician, performer and poet. Understanding and appreciating art history, traditions, and cultures through lessons and activities help connect each student to the world of art on a personal and social level. When sparked by children’s imagination and curiosity, they become the living expressions of artistic learning. Student exhibitions and performances reinforce these goals, showcase student talent and serve to build respect for individual differences in creativity. Students realize the potential power in a collaborative performing and exhibiting arts community.
